Chilli Mashed Potato

Last night I made a delicious form of mashed potato that can only be described as Chilli Mashed Potato (or I guess also, as Mashed Potato meets Chilli). Its real easy to make, so I thought I'd share the recipe...

Potatoes
Cream Cheese
Salt
Pepper
One chilli (choose your colour!)
Tiny smackerel of olive oil

Make mashed potato as usual, but before doing so slice a chilli vertically, brown it off in a pan or on a gas flame, slice it up and mix with a bit of olive oil and crunchy black pepper. When the potatoes are cooked, mash them up real good, add the cream cheese and mix in the chilli!

delicious.

The Age Old Saying...Thank God Its Friday!

This week has been at least 100000 days long. I am cereal. I worked Sunday, which was insanely busy and full of evil characters who came to the autcion viewings just to rile me (this is what their intentions appeared to be)... Lots of strange people thrusting forms at me and demanding complimentary catalogues. No! I do not care that you are the queen of the world, the catalogue still costs £8.00.

After that debacle was finished, came the sales! Super busy and very stressful... But it is now Friday and time for dinner with a sister and a weekend of sleep and magazines!

Success With Pizza Express

Success!
Last night I received a phone call from unknown number... It was Pizza Express calling to apologise for the bad service I recently received (see post no.2). I am getting vouchers as well as an apology - this is most excellent.
Therefore, I shall vernture back to Pizza Express to find out if the service has improved. I have been informed that 'steps have been taken' to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
We shall see!

Also, in todays news I have had a delicious sausage roll, and a cupcake! Tis a fabulous day for food.

Lump Head and The End of the Twilight Saga

Yesterday i woke up with a huge lump on my face as a result of my bad luck and general clumsiness. The lump, James says, has gotten smaller. Considering it is the size of a continent now, I beg to differ. So obviously things aren't going great today, but perhaps I am being too vain. Will people shy away from me now as I look like Quasimodo? We shall see.
I am also thinking about the sadness that will be the end of the Twilight series of books. Yes, I am reading the teenage books about a girl, her vampire boyfriend and her best friend (the werewolf). It's not better than Harry Potter, dont get me wrong, but easy to read and quite silly.
So basically the blog is about nothing today...and sadly I have no pictures of my lump head available.
Sad Times.

"Don't Dispose of That Handy Shower Cap!"

Generally today has been pretty average. I have mainly been suprised at how sunny it is, how mild the weather has become, and how I managed to apply make up on the number 52 using my ipod as a mirror. Not too bad.
Thoughts today include more concern over the worldwide diary. Having trouble with my creativity - need to find some inspiration! So far this week has not been totally inspiring - but I am looking forward to a weekend of inspiration in the form of dancing and eating barbeque in Brick Lane. Thoughts for the journal so far come down to whatever gets written in it - but really I think deep down I would prefer recipes/ideas - perhaps a bit like that part in Take A Break magazine where people send in tips like
"Do Not Dispose Of That Shower Cap - Turn It Into a Handy Flower Pot!"
would be how it turned out.
Now the hunt for the diary begins...
